Killing your brain cells since May 13/2000!

Shadowman here. I am Uber-web master. Which means I'm fully in charge. Expect nothing to change. (as of Dec 7/2000)
Hate Mail Rule - Any dimwitted remark made in either the guestbook or forum or e-mail will now be replied to in a section where I will really give you hell. The Ass Holes Speak section.
UPDATES:![]()
May 13/2000 - May 13/2001 - This beast was made by Skullman of Cossack's Creations who pretty much ripped the layout he made for CC ...... which was ripped off Iceman's old Sinister Six layout. Yeah, before Ice changed layouts ALL the teams kinda stole theirs from his. Go figrue. All the teams also had Geocities pages, juuuuuuust like Ice. And, yeah, Skullman actually started the Megaman 3 team. And now Cossack's Creaktions is gone. That's what we in the industry call ...... "ironic"!
Oh, yeah. Hear that? Background MIDI music. Yeah, I took care of that once I took over. But it was pretty popular in the olden days. Although I did add one of my posters (the one of Electra) to the background for the longest time which obscured many people reading text on the mainpage. *pfft* whatever. I liked that poster. They could suck on it. Before that the background was pure black. I don't really count that as a "layout" change ..... the layout didn't change at all. There was also another banner posted later on. To commemorate Series 2, where we got Transmetal Armor. The idea was a more "universal" look on MM 3, rather than a NES-focused one. For the purposes of this archive page, I took off the background pic and used the first banner. Sort of a compromise between pre-me-as-leader MM3 and after my takeover.
Also notice the ...... complete lack of any sections on the frames. First thing I did was add all the epilogues I made in the months of silence that followed this team's debut. Then came the guides, wallpapers (which I made just for fun months ago), Gamma 3000, blah, blah, blah. You may also notice the "hate mail rule" up at the top there. Well, back in the day there were ...... difficulties ..... with another group. Suffice it to say that ignoring them did not help. But this did.
Oh, yeah ...... also of note is that I wasn't always team leader. C.J. the first Topman on this team was. But I became "Quasi-leader" and then full-fledged leader after doing such a good job of updating.
I suppose this would be a good place to go over how the team got started. I think I did that somewhere else too. But it doesn't matter. So, this place was started up by Skullman. I joined up soon after it was created as I admired the people already in the Team Scene. Historically, this was the fifth Megaman team. The S6 came first, Dream Team (MM2) second, Cossack's Creations (MM4) third, and X-Force (X4) fourth. Skull created this place because MM3 didn't have a team yet. His idea was to pass the reigns of leadership to a volunteer.
Which was Topman (C.J.). We all got together on the old forum and held a talk over what our team name was supposed to be. It was CJ who came up with "Mechanical Maniacs". I was against it. I thought it was lame. But CJ was leader and the name stuck. I can't remember which were my own ideas .... Mechanical Maniacs is a cool name regardless.
A few days after opening day we got flamed by ANOTHER MM3 team. Our doppelgangers, the Xtreme Team who were formed mere days after our own team. Still, our page had more stuff so we decided to tough it out. The world could survive two MM3 teams, right? Who really cares if it's all in good fun, right?
Well, that's a whole 'nother story. Although it was our claim to fame initially.
As for the 'Maniacs, CJ didn't have much time to do things. The team was dead for it's first 6 months. So CJ let me run the show for a bit. I did so using Dreamweaver. I was so successful that he left the page to me. This layout lasted for our first year. My primary focus was epilogues, epilogues, epilogues. I was quite anxious to get them up because I wrote a damn lot of them for the site ..... but they were never put up until I took over! Gah!
Hardman was the first to quit and he did so about the time I took over co-webmaster duties. He just couldn't keep up enthusiasm. I still regret losing that guy's bio. His spot would remain consistantly vacant for a very long time.
For pure nostalgia, I'll leave the last update using this layout up, for posterity.
May
13/2001 - Well, the new layout is up! Which means this page is no longer nessasary.
I'll keep it up, more out of nostalgia than anything else. Links on theis
old layout will NOT be maintained or updated, so if they become broken, I
don't care. And if your here that means you linked to the wrong part of the
site. Shame on you! From not on bookmark the index page. That's where the
money is.
April 13/2001 - Hello, hello. New, actual CONTENT this time around. Little more than usual. Today I added a calendar made by Gemini Blue, Lennon. Don't be afraid to actually use the thing. I also added 3 epilogues. One by me, 2 others by BOTH Geminimen. Their not bad, so go read 'em.
On another note, I am now closing this site for renovations. Until our first year anniversary in a blatant attempt to hype up a otherwise dull event. Now, this doesn't mean the site will be closed on you, but that does mean no more updates. I'm also implementing a new layout, so don't be overly surprised if some sections suddenly disappear. I am reorganizing everything. I'm closing the site down for a few reasons. First: to implement the new layout. To add it to all the pages will take a bit 'o time. Secondly: to hype up the first year anniversary in a dramatic way. I'm a sucker for big events. Lastly: to take a REAL break for a while. I've been QUITE busy in RL, and I need a friggin' break from everything and focus on my other stuff. Good-bye for now!
April 2/2001 - Well, Our new members are finally revealed. Heh. Anyone who'd care probably already knows who they are. Kept it secret a little to create a little stir. Well, officially announcing: Sarah as Hard Chick, and Lennon and "Nightmare" as Gemini Man! Yeah, I got soft and let 2 people share Geminiman. Sue me. It's my team, I run it my way - a dictatorship. A new epilogue was put up to introduce these new members. Doctor Wily's Revenge. I also added images in the gallery.
Also, expect changes when the first year anniversary rolls along. As stated in the forum, there will, indeed be a new layout. Not by me - God knows I am too lazy to make one. By Nightmare Zero of Megaman Masters.
March 30/2001 - Added more to the sprite tutorial. It now features how to make animations. I'm also almost set to write another epilogue and put up bios for the new members - if somebody will just give me their bio already! I am still pretty busy, so no monster updates until later. Also be sure to head over and check out the Sinister Six's site and see who guest stars in their new epilogues. No, not Nightmare Zero. No, not Groovy Kat either! NO! Damn you! It's me! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
March 23/2001 - Actual content uploaded. Still loaded with work, but I updated a bit. Added "Mortal Kombat 5" to the roms section. Also Added a new ANIMATED adventure by Stone. Also fixed a small prob with the MM 5 BIOS
In other news, the positions for Hardman and Gemini man are filled. When I get their BIOS, I'll make it official.
