The Mechanical Maniacs have returned to action with a brand new story (for people who don't frequent our forum anyhow). Maniacs on Patrol! For those who were somewhat daunted by the size of War, fear not! These are just a set of short stories made by Hadrian (Hardman) Howell and are MUCH shorter.

In other news there was another update on the site as well! Those in the know will figure out where to check.

This is the big update for the Business of War! Namely that ... it's done. The ending has been posted at last! And, along with it, a whole slew of bonus features.

First off is a long-in-coming spoof ep by Spark Mandrill called The Bitch and the Beast. It's set between stages 5 and 6, so I'm linking to it here.

There's also the Business of War Gallery with art made during or for the event, along with sprites. Included is a picture by Needlegal (colored by me) .... which makes this the very first MM3 project with every single member of the team participating!

I've added Bright Babe's War Sig to the gallery, as well as a Scissor Army sig I commissioned from Gren.

But that's not all! Also updated is the list of Soldier Robots to include most of the robots Wily has used during the event as well as non-Rich Scissor Joes!

A Page Count is now up .... detailing just how long Business of War ended up being. Try not to be intimidated.

And, finally, Creator Commentaries have been posted from most of the participants that made it to the end. I give you all a friendly pat on the back and a firm handshake ... you have made it through! All of you should be proud to be a part of the biggest event in the history of Megaman Teams. Despite every odd, and every obsticle War has reached it's end and you have managed to stay on for the ride.

This is one of the final updates for the Business of War!

The penultimate stage is up! As are the last of the Stage Summaries. Let's all give Raijin some applause. He's worked hard to make all these summaries and I know I would be lost without them.

Also up is a list of Sword Users, also compiled by Raijin. We've just noticed there were quite a few swords being used in the War and we decided to keep track a bit. Beware of spoilers!

Also up is a flash Map of War. This was made by me and Raijin. Raijin was invaluable in making the initial images and actually looking up where everything was. I just made the Flash file.

Also up is the Live Action Buisness of War videos made by Anime Master as well as commentaries!

War's running into the home stretch now ... and the best is yet to come! Stay tuned for the end of the epic that rocked the Team Scene! The end of the Business of War ... it's coming!

But that's not all! A big hand goes out to Joseph "Doc Lithius" Collins who used my Rockman Mega World level select codes to bring us accurate damage data on all bosses from the Rockman Megaworld game. I've compiled that, as well as the codes, and some new observations into a single article that is now online. Now we can see which weapon is, statistically, the best of the best from the first three Megaman games!

I've been doing some thinking and I've decided the image galleries really need accompanying articles to go with them. At least the official images do and most of the sprite galleries. To this end I have created an article on the Megaman PC Games. It details my experience with the PC games as well as some words on the robot masters.

Next up is a ... Gauntlet's Guides article? It's been a while since I did me one of those. This one is on Green Lantern: In Blackest Night. Basically it goes into all the "special" rings and is sort of meant as a look-back that contrasts what's being done today with what's been done in the past.

The PC sprites have been updated. I actually missed a few sprites of Wily. Apparently when you die at WIly himself sprites of him jumping and groveling appear on the computer screen. Since I always cheat at that game I have never seen these sprites until now.

Speaking of sprite galleries, the index page has been merged with the overall Image Gallery using the same hack that I developed for the Specialty Galleries. It's just pointless to leave them so separate. Speaking of which, I've never announced it, but the Megaman Team Christmas Cards are up. They're from a small project made by Snakeman and Spark Chan in December. Be sure to check it all out!

Oh, and the articles on Rockman Strategy and Rockman Gold Empire have received some small updates too. RM Strategy has it's intro video up ... doubtless you've seen it before since Rockman Perfect Memories posted it long before I have. I just felt it was time for me to post it as well. More exciting, however, is that I have posted the game's full script online! Unfortunately ... it's in Traditional Chinese. Yeah. I've also revised a few details in the introduction (the game's not quite so rare anymore) and added in some notes on the ending that I got from reading the script. Rockman Gold Empire's update is a never-before-seen intro video.

Well, we have a nicely massive image update to follow our last massive image update.

First off, with a thanks to RADIX (for pointing it out to me) and AquaMary (for giving permission), I have an update for the article on Novas Adventuras de Megaman. Namely ... a wealth of images! Some of them must be seen to be believed ... and while looking through them, just remember: this is canon. It's an official Megaman product.

But that's not all! With War coming to a rapid conclusion (believe it or not!) I've taken a look back on Rich's other illustrious works. Not only does his gallery now feature every one of his public drawing for Business of War, bit it now features pictures of his Revenge of the Scissor Army figurines and sketches! In many ways it's a precursor to War, and it's worth a look even if you've never read War because those figures rocked our niche Megaman Community.

That's not all! The girt art section is peppered with new images as well.

A few other people have been posting info on it, so I've decided to update the section a bit. I'll have to edit the article just a tiny bit too.

First of my RMS updates is ... every single image used in the game and complete manual scans.

Truthfully, after compiling all those sprites I got sick of RM Strategy. But I suppose it's long past time in posting what I have on it on the site itself. Happy viewing!

The Business of War receives a hefty update this day! Contrary to what many might think, the event is still on. And the fruits of our labor is now presented as it is so far.

The main story has been posted up to Stage 6 (with a new Wily Journal and Cossack Journal in Stage 3). While Raj's Summaries have been continued on to Stage 5.

The War Sigs has been updated with signatures up to the present time.

There's more information on Business of War characters in the allegences section.

There's information on the various foot soldiers now up.

And, finally, Anime Master's many videos have been put up in the video section.

This has been one HELL of an update! And the end is hurtling our way! Stay tuned!

Hot on the heels of our incredible video update comes something even more spectacular. News that will rock the Megaman Gaming community to it's core. Or, at least, the gaming community that loves the Classic Series.

Long have I ranted about how perfect a collection would be if they made master weapons transferable from game to game. Little did I realize this game had already been made. Ladies and Gentlemen (and children of all ages) I bring you: Rockman Megaworld codes! Using a level selector code I found (and values I actually had to guess, which made the code a damn hassle) I have made it so that you can bring any set of weapons you wish into the first three megaman games. Follow the above link and scope out the Wily Wars section for more information.

The Video Section sees an update today. This time with the MM3 themed episode of Captain N as well as the old Megaman 3 commercial from Capcom. Weird stuff. Enjoy!

The Cap N episode featured the villainous Doc Robot (my favorite Megaman-related Cap N butchery), so if you've ever wondered what the character was actually like ... look no further! I'd also like to thank Classi Cal for helping me with the Megaman 3 commercial. It was actually in a series of commercials that was sent to me, but she helped me single it out for the site. Well done!

It's that time again!

This update sees a MASSIVE update to the image galleries. Just under 1000 images have been added to the MMTV show and Captain N galleries collectively. With the second set of Cap N DVDs finally being released in my region I can FINALLY add screencaps from the MM3 episode - a tale of two dogs - to the set.

But that's not all! I've gone through the Ruby Spears cartoon and have added images to all the categories, especially focusing on the background helper bot characters.

It's a variable bonanza of images nobody's interested in!

With the old year drawing to a close it's finally time to post the epic tale of the team's greatest moment in 07. Naturally I speak of ... our real life meeting at CNanime.

The Business of War gets another update. This time in stage summaries made by Raijin K! It allows for quick reference without reading hundreds upon hundreds of pages worth of story.

Classic Megaman Mysteries has a bit added to it regarding the Rockman 7 Sample edition recently covered by Sprites INC. I actually helped research it and wasn't going to cover it until I had 100% adequate material ... however allot of people are planning on writing articles on it and, since I helped to research the game, I'd be remiss not to pump out an article to try and beat out some other people who hope to do the same. So I've merged what I know with the stuff already covered on MM7 into the main Classic Mysteries article. Enjoy.

Misc. MM Classic Mysteries now sees info regarding MM5GB as well, to complete the "impossible battles" coverage.

Wow. Allot of updates today!

First up is the new Video section. That contains, not only Business of War stuff, but also a Megaman 3 video made by Spark Chan (Classi Cal).

Next up is a humongous Megaman Mysteries update. it really is huge. Not only have all the articles been formatted (so reading them isn't a chore), but there's lots of info present.

Megaman X7 has a new screen of an X7 E3 promo (just the title screen tho). And X2 has some crap added to it.
Classic Megaman Mysteries has the removal of some USED sprites and an unused sprite added to MM8.
MM3 Mysteries has some technical stuff added thanks to Sean Kelly. There's some interesting notes on Geminiman's starfield and the Rush Drill concept as well as others.
Megaman Battle Network Mysteries sees a huge update, thanks (for the most part) to Mega Rock.exe.
And Miscellaneous Megaman Mysteries sees notes on many games, particularly the Gameboy series (thanks goes to Jade and Nightmare Zero on that).

So where was I for a month? Participating in our community event, that's where!

Anyhow, after ALOT of work it's all been transcribed and but into the Business of War section on the site. And don't be daunted by the sheer volume of things to read! Although reading them all will give you scope, I've marked down the necessary bits to the War and 'Maniacs canon.

Also present are videos made by Anime Master about the War. It's all there.

To avoid some confusion I've foreseen the Alliances list also includes the present Megaman team list (which includes RM aliases) as well as non-RM characters that you'll see as villains.

The Image Gallery sees a long awaited organization update! See, I wasn't quite sure how to integrate the "odd" galleries like Needlegal's Cosplay or Megaman 9 or My Art Contest or our famous Hentai Gallery into the Coppermine Image Gallery system. These galleries held the entire project up. Well, no longer! Now they can all be found in the main Coppermine Gallery. Which is now just the plain old Image Gallery.

Furthermore, I've uploaded Lennon's Gallery into the system as well as the Box Art Gallery. I've also made the Manual Art Gallery to house all the manual scans I did for the Nintendo Power gallery. THAT was an update long in coming.

And that's not all! The contacting page is now run in Flash. Because I can!

The Business of War now has it's own Scenario Generator that I made in Flash. From now on all scenarios shall be made using that!

Uh .... I wish I had thought of it earlier, but .... whatever! There it is!

Also, my sister's Cosplay Gallery has been updated with even more pictures featuring her latest costumes. And information on the awards she's won has now also been included. Hooray!

The Business of War is in full swing and the section has a large update this week!

The full introduction is now online, including what various other team members wrote for inclusion. Also, a forum trend lately has been to create Business of War signatures and those can now be seen in the main section. Finally, to make everyone's lives easier a list of allegiances has been included in the section.

But that's not all! Even more art from Magnetman and Snakeman has been posted in the image galleries! Thanks to the new system, I don't have to do all that work myself .... YAY!!

After bothering Magnet to make one, I just went ahead and made his image gallery for him. This includes all figured, including ones done for the Kin and Tonic and the Transmetal 2 Armor.

Naturally, since I am the one doing this, it includes all the old figured I could find. :P

The epilogue section gets a MIGHTY update!

A new epilogue has been posted. The Rivalry, featuring the Wily Rescue Force and the Evil Eight!

But, that's not all! Magnetman's novella, Wanted, is finally up on the site! While it's been on the forums for quite some time, this is the final version with all the finishing touches that polished a story off.

And, finally, a section on the Business of War has been posted. This is a community-spanning event, so it can't be missed!

Megaman Mysteries has been updated. Megaman 3 Mysteries getting a few more updates, amazingly enough. Found some more magazine scans and added a new screenshot of Megaman backside edited into the get weapons screen while rewriting that paragraph to reflect the new information. I also added a hacked rom (including emulator and savestate) showing Protoman "transforming" into Breakman.

I also rewrote the few paragraphs about Breakman. Some people thought that I thought Protoman was brainwashed. Well, I never did. So I rewrote that part of the article and added some information on Protoman's story (that I was unaware of when I wrote first wrote the article).

Megaman X Mysteries now includes an unused frame for Valguarder's head.

Misc. Classic Mysteries includes actual screenshots proving that, as everyone knows, the game *is* Rockman 8.5.

Expect some more information, especially concerning Megaman 7 and the EXE series. That stuff still needs to be organized some before I can include it.

In other news, Magnetman's War project has started. A new subforum has been created for it. It's a pretty exciting project in it's scope and it includes almost all the classic series-based Megaman teams.

The conclusion to our 2-parter is up at last!  Abuse of Technology finally reveals the identity of the chief of police!  Oh and there's some epic battle and stuff ...

And now, a special announcement. Anyone whose coming to CNAnime might wanna look out for 6 conspicous people wearing MM3 shirts ..... because they'll be the 'Maniacs in the flesh! That's right, six of the eight members are coming to Toronto to meet up in real life. And you can say hello (you stalker you). This is a first in the team scene so we're all really stoked for it. Maybe you'll even see me .... the mysterious Gauntlet! (Of course you won't know who I am since nobody knows what I look like .... take THAT!)

When it rains it pours. There's yet another new epilogue, Attack of the Replicates! What can the 'Maniacs do as badly made copies flood the streets? Find out!

In other news ..... I really got to get cracking on writing more MM Mysteries. Believe it or not, there's even more I can write about for quite a few games there .....

Believe it or not, we're hard at work here at the 'Maniacs. A brand new epilogue has been posted - The Sinister Six.EXE Strikes back. It's a crossover with the Darklight Mercenaries and is partially written by Nathan.

You have ..... NO idea how long I've been waiting to announce this.

Megaman Mysteries now encompasses Megaman Battle Network! I've scoured the internet for all the BN beta images I could find to bring you a very long and in-depth article on the differences between the final version and the beta as seen in many, many, MANY screenshots.

This is also the first mystery article NOT written by me. I like Battle Network, but I'm not certain of my knowledge. And so, this article was written by Raijin K. Take a bow!

What!? Oh, yes, you read me right .... over 2,000 screen caps from Seasons 1 & 2 of Captain N with a LARGE focus on Megaman are now housed at the Mechanical Maniacs in our very own Captain N Galleries!

Sadly, season 3 is not yet here, but rest assured: when it's finally released for this region there'll be even more screen captures.  That's something you can look forward to.

And to go along with this massive update is an equally massive upgrade to our image galleries. We're now operating out of a Coppermine gallery because it's a pain to make a page for over 2,000 images of Captain N. I may as well upgrade the entire system. In the future, the sprite galleries might also be added to this, but not all of the image galleries are found on the Coppermine gallery. Simply put, it isn't the best way to host every image gallery we have, believe it or not.  But it is the best way to host MOST of the image galleries we have, hence the change.
